The aim of this thesis is an analyze of the works of French / Swiss film director Jean-Luc Godard (1930-) from the 1970s to 1998, "Here and Elsewhere" (1976), "Nouvelle Vague" (1990) and "Chapter 2 of Film History" (1998), Godard's method, which is the basis for these three works with different tendencies, constitutes a movie. This is a discussion of the method of forming the context. As a methodology for analyzing works, the applicant applied for the same method as music analysis in music, that is, the sequence of works, based on the analysis method used in Kei Hirakura's book “GODARD’S METHOD(S)” (2010). We adopted the method of clarifying the mode of connection and joining of these elements, which are regarded as the various elements that make up. By using these methodologies that allow us to focus on montage techniques at a more phenomenal and practical level, Godard's unique films of “Concatenation by morphological similarity" and “Formation of context by juxtaposition of images".
