ナシの果実は収穫時に脱離するので，脱離が生じるメカニズムを調査するため，エチレン発生剤を処理して脱離性とエチレンとの関連性，解剖学的な相違を比較検討した（鳥取県園芸試験場と共同研究）．その成果は，国際アジアナシ会議で発表，Acta Horticulturae誌(2002)に掲載された．
