PROFILE

• My main research interest is the relationship between culture and human development (Cultural Psychology). In the practical context, my interest is directed to the psychological foundation of the international education pursued by UNESCO under the initiative "Culture of Peace." On account of this interest, I am concerned with the analysis of the psychological mechanism promoting intercultural tolerance and forgiveness. The role of the self-esteem for the development of tolerance is the central The purpose of my teaching is for the students to acquire the theoretical and methodological fundamentals of Educational Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Cross-Cultural Psychology. In the study, we are focusing on the specific features and problems characteristic for the human existence in the modern context of the rapidly changing society, such as the paradigme of lifelong development in the aging society, educational counseling and guidance in the school context, psychological aspects

Research project

• Cultural-psycholigical study on the role of empathy for the development of global citizenship identity in the usage of the cognitive neuroscience method　International Collaboration　Formation of world citizen identity corresponding to the globalization is an important issue of international education to which contributions of cultural psychology are expected. To obtain the identity as a global citizen, it is an important indicator whether the person feels empathy for others beyond the boundaries of race and country. The aim of this study is to find the factors which contribute for expanding the range of empathy by the usage of neuroscience technique ERP.
