Summary

There is a need for persistent technical researches and fostering of future engineers in order to realize a sustainable society. Measuring the power necessary to run is easier for electric vehicles than fossil fuel vehicles. We have been giving energy education using EV(solar cars, solar hydrogen cars, electric kart kits, etc.) to make students have interests in environment and energy problems, and to let them learn practical techniques. Measurement systems for EV which we developed has flexibility and can give information by various methods by unifying measurement data. These can display electrical energy budget clearly by displaying measurement data graphically and examples of electrical appliances which have equal electric energy consumption. This paper shows the system configuration and the development process of these measurement systems and discusses the educational benefits.
