保有するトマトの近縁野生種、L.pennelliiの41系統を用いて、外部形態の系統間差を調査した結果、系統間で複葉、花、果実などに大きな変異が見い出された。特に、複葉の腺毛はオンシツコナジラミなどへの耐性があるものが多いので、遺伝資源として重要な形質であると考えられた。
In this study, we found that morphological valiabilities in leaf, flower, and fruit among 41 accessions in L.pennellii.
In some accessions such as LA751, LA1356, LA1657, LA1724, LA1733 and LA1941, they produced long glandular hair on the surface of leaflets. Thus, these accessions may have strong resistance to some aphids, whiteflies, and red spider mites.In this species have some useful source for plant breeders, hawever, its characterisrics varied among the accessions significantly.
