Extraction of the Own Vehicle Location on the Traffic Lane

In this paper, (1) the extraction of the white line region, (2) the extraction of the relative location of the driving recorder on the traffic lane and (3) the parallelism of the car and the white lines are mentioned. To get the image of the road environment, the drive recorder DC-DR410 produced COMTEC Co. and a car named “Rush” pro-duced Toyota Co. are used. The road used in order to get data is “TOMEI” highway. The maximum error of the distance between the white line and the drive recorder was less than about 2cm.
