Summary

This presentation reported on an explicit-listening training program for 150 Japanese university students. Comparisons between pre and post-program listening assessment, student feedback, and reflections from the teachers were reviewed to assess the effectiveness of the focused listening training. Participants in this talk went away with some ideas for how they can teach bottom-up and top-down listening more effectively in their own English classes.
