This paper focuses on "Bosai (disaster prevention) Michi-no-Eki," which are one of the new efforts in the third stage of "Michi -no-Eki," and analyzes the potential of " Michi -no-Eki" as regional disaster prevention bases in the event of a disaster. In order to understand what specific efforts Michi-no-Eki in Ishikawa Prefecture, an area that was severely damaged in the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake, have been making since the disaster occurred and what problems have arisen, we conducted interviews with staff from Ishikawa Prefecture and the Michi-no-Eki Noto Satoyama Airport, which was selected as a “Bosai Michi-no-Eki”. The authors then conducted a questionnaire survey of 19 Michi-no-Eki in Ishikawa Prefecture to find out what disaster prevention measures and disaster response Michi-no-Eki are considering. In addition, we conducted interviews with 5 Bosai Michi-no-Eki out of 39 and considered the potential of Michi-no-Eki as disaster prevention bases in the region to find out what specific disaster prevention measures and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) are taken.
