In recent years, there has been significant interest in the quality and characteristics of learning spaces and their impact on the overall education and learning process. As educational institutions, from primary to higher education, continue to introduce new learning environments that integrate innovation, technology, and flexibility, the importance of research evaluating and improving post-implementation usage is increasing. This paper briefly describes the newly established learning space in the ELF Learning Hall and discusses its impact on language education and learning based on a survey of 1610 students and 29 faculty members, as well as observations of the space. A significant correlation appears to exist between student satisfaction with the learning space, particularly the various characteristics of the new facility, and its impact on language learning. This preliminary report aims to guide future research on how new learning spaces affect educational choices and learner experiences in ELF (English as a Common Language) based language programs.
