Programming Learning Support Based on Learning Logs of a Digital Textbook and an Exercise Management System

This study presents a programming learning support system that integrates learning logs from a digital textbook and an exercise management system. The system estimates exercise difficulty using both learning-item tags and performance metrics such as correctness, and presents review items to learners accordingly. A classroom experiment with 22 university students demonstrated that the proposed method helped learners review efficiently and maintain motivation. The results suggest that the system effectively supports individualized programming learning and facilitates continuous improvement of learning materials.
