This article aims to explore the potentiality of Global Citizenship Education (GCED) as a new model of nurturing global competency towards the realization of a more peaceful, sustainable and just world. The importance of psychological viewpoint for the development of global citizenship as a supra-national identity was discussed in relation to the curriculum development at UNESCO ASPnet schools.
